What is the X45 used for?

The X45 is a single-rotary reverse circulation (RC) rig for mineral exploration and resource drilling, built on the proven GT Series platform, and previously listed as the RC45. Alongside its RC kit it carries mud pumps and a DTH lubrication system as standard.

What RC equipment comes on the X45?

A blast box, blowdown valves, an RC swivel and a sampling splitter — fitted from the factory rather than added afterwards.

How deep can the X45 drill?

Its spec sheet rates it beyond 1,000 ft. In RC work the real limit is air, ground and water, so we size the compressor and booster to your program.

What powers the X45?

A Cummins L9 Stage 5 engine rated at 380 hp (283 kW), with over 46,000 lbs of pull-back and 17,640 lbs (8,000 kg) of push-down, carrying 880 ft of 20 ft rods in the standard rod rack and loader.

What air do I need for RC drilling?

RC needs high-volume, high-pressure air. The GTD tracked compressor delivers 1,350 cfm at 507.5 psi from a 675 hp Cummins X15 Stage V engine, with booster and bulk fuel tank options, and a tracked carrier can bring extra rod and a loader crane alongside.

When should I choose the X45DR instead?

When the overburden is loose, wet or collapsing. The X45DR adds a Eurodrill RH26X casing head that holds the hole open while you drill inside it, which keeps the sample clean.

Can I monitor the rig remotely?

Yes. GTData puts rate of penetration, torque, RPM, pressures, fuel, weight on bit and depth on a live read-out above the driller’s controls and on a cloud dashboard, with alerts that flag bit wear, formation changes and maintenance before they cost you a shift.
