GTData is GTD Desco’s rig monitoring system. It reads the numbers that decide how a hole goes — rate of penetration, torque, RPM, pressures, flows, temperatures, fuel, weight on bit and depth — and puts them on a live read-out right above the main driller’s controls.
The same data syncs wirelessly between the rig, its solids control equipment and the data logger, and goes up to a cloud dashboard, so a supervisor, an owner or our own service team can see what the rig is doing from anywhere. Alerts flag the anomalies that come before downtime — a falling ROP that means a worn bit, a torque spike that means a formation change or stuck pipe, hydraulic oil running hot.
The result is fewer surprises and a rig that tells you what it needs: less risk, better performance and less time stood down.
Where the driller sees it
- AGTData live read-out. Depth, rate of penetration and live gauges, mounted right above the main driller’s controls.
- BEngine display. Engine speed, temperatures and diagnostics from the Stage 5 engine.

What GTData measures
Ten parameters, and why each one matters. Mud rigs read pump pressure and mud flow; air and RC rigs read air flow and air pressure in their place.

What is GTData?
GTData is GTD Desco’s drill rig monitoring system. It records drilling and machine parameters in real time, shows them on a read-out above the driller’s controls, syncs them wirelessly with the rig’s ancillary equipment and data logger, and makes them available on cloud dashboards with alerts.
What does GTData monitor?
Rate of penetration, torque, RPM, hydraulic oil temperature, fuel consumption, weight on bit, depth and drill time, and a systems diagnostic log — plus mud pump pressure and mud volume/flow on mud rigs, or air flow and air pressure on air and RC rigs.
Where does the driller see the data?
On a live read-out mounted right above the main driller’s controls, next to the engine display and pressure gauges, so the numbers are in the driller’s line of sight while drilling.
Can I see my rig’s data when I am not on site?
Yes. Cloud dashboards keep the data within reach wherever you are, so owners, supervisors and our service team can follow a rig without being at it.
How does GTData reduce downtime?
Alerts predict maintenance and catch anomalies early: a drop in rate of penetration identifies bit wear, torque flags formation changes or stuck pipe, pump pressure warns of poor hole cleaning, and hydraulic oil temperature warns of overheating.
