How deep can the GT65 drill?

The GT65 is built for boreholes of 1,000 ft and beyond, drilling mud, air or DTH hammer. It is the single-rotary rig for deep commercial geothermal loops, large loop fields and water wells.

How much rod does the GT65 carry?

It runs 25 ft rods: 48 rods of 3½ in — 1,200 ft (365 m) — or 44 rods of 3¾ in for 1,100 ft, or 30 rods of 4 in for 750 ft. Longer rods mean fewer connections per hole, and the standard rod rack and loader handle all of them.

What engine and pull-back does the GT65 have?

A Cummins X12 Stage 5 engine rated at 513 hp (377 kW), 65,000 lbs of pull-back and 26,455 lbs (12,000 kg) of push-down over a 25 ft (7.62 m) head stroke. The main winch pulls 22,000 lbs (10,000 kg), twice the GT35 and GT45.

Which drill head is on the GT65?

A Eurodrill RH24X with a floating spindle and a 2 in or 3 in thru-hole swivel — almost 50% more torque than the RH16X on the GT45. Triple clamps, one rotating, come as standard.

How big is the GT65 to transport?

41 ft (12.5 m) long, 8 ft 2 in (2.5 m) wide and 10 ft 3 in (3.2 m) high, weighing 66,000–77,000 lbs (30,000–35,000 kg) depending on options and rods. It tracks on Doosan Solar 130 undercarriage with a wireless remote.

Is there a dual rotary version of the GT65?

Yes — the GT65DR adds a Eurodrill RH40X casing head with 29,500 lb-ft (40 kNm) of torque, for deep holes through overburden that will not stand open.

Can I monitor the rig remotely?
