How deep can the GT45 drill?

What drill head does the GT45 use?

A Eurodrill RH16X top drive: 11,897 lb-ft (16.13 kNm) at 63 rpm, or 3,717 lb-ft at 202 rpm, through a 2½ in thru-hole swivel with a chuck and floating head. The sideshift lets the head slide clear of the hole for rod and casing handling.

How much rod does the GT45 carry?

44 × 20 ft rods of 3½ in pipe — 880 ft (264 m) — or 36 rods of 3¾ in, 720 ft (216 m), loaded by the rod rack and loader that come as standard.

What engine and pull-back does the GT45 have?

A Cummins L9 Stage 5 engine rated at 380 hp (283 kW), and 46,300 lbs (21,000 kg) of pull-back with 17,640 lbs (8,000 kg) of push-down over a 24 ft 7 in (7.5 m) head stroke.

Which mud pumps come on the GT45?

A 4×3×13 single-stage centrifugal pump and a 5×6 triplex piston pump delivering 317 gpm at 580 psi (1,200 lpm at 40 bar). The rig is configured for dual pumps, so you can run two centrifugals or a centrifugal and a piston pump.

What if my ground needs casing held while I drill?

Then look at the GT45DR. It is a GT45 with a second, Eurodrill casing head that advances casing while the top drive drills inside it — the answer for running sands, gravels and collapsing overburden.
